This Privacy Policy explains how Masterquestion (the "app") handles your information. It applies to the Masterquestion iPhone app. In plain terms: the app is designed to collect no personal data at all. The sections below spell out exactly what that means.
01 — What we collectNothing. Truly.
Masterquestion does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information to use the app. There is no account to create and no profile to fill in.
Because the app has no server and makes no network requests, there is no mechanism by which your information could be sent to us or to anyone else — even accidentally.
02 — What lives on your deviceYour content stays local.
Everything you create in Masterquestion is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. This includes:
- Your private journal reflections;
- Questions you favorite or keep;
- Your settings (haptics, depth preference, language, reminder time);
- Your reflection streak and per-deck progress.
This data never leaves your phone. We cannot see it, and it is not backed up to any server we control. If your device has iCloud device backup enabled, this content may be included in your own encrypted Apple backup, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
03 — NotificationsThe daily reminder is local-only.
Masterquestion offers an optional daily reminder — a gentle nudge to reflect at a time you choose. If you turn it on, the app asks your permission to show notifications, and schedules a local notification directly on your device.
These reminders are generated entirely on your phone. There is no push server, no remote messaging, and no data is sent anywhere to deliver them. The reminder is off by default, and you can turn it off at any time in the app's Settings or in your device's Settings.
04 — No analytics, tracking, or adsNobody's watching.
Masterquestion contains no analytics tools, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party software development kits (SDKs) that collect data. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not build a profile of you. Nothing you do in the app is measured or reported.
05 — Children's privacySafe for every age.
Masterquestion does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is gathered, transmitted, or stored off-device, the app poses no data-collection risk to users of any age. We do not knowingly collect data from children because we do not collect data from anyone.
06 — Your choices & controlYou hold every switch.
You are always in control of your content. You can delete individual journal entries and kept questions inside the app, and removing the app from your device permanently erases all associated data. Notifications can be enabled or disabled whenever you like.
App Store privacy label: Masterquestion is published with the "Data Not Collected" privacy designation on the App Store. This policy reflects that commitment — it is a feature of the product, not a footnote.
07 — Changes to this policyIf anything changes, you'll see it here.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects how information is handled — for example, if a future optional feature involved a network service — we will update this policy before that feature ships, and revise the "Last updated" date above. Any such change would remain subject to your explicit consent.
